Cyprus is a European country, located south of Turkey, on the island of the same name and also the largest in the eastern Mediterranean. Since 1974 the island is divided in two: the south is the Republic of Cyprus and north the self-proclaimed Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The topography of Cyprus consists of a broad and fertile central plain, framed on the north and south by mountains, it also presents great plains scattered along the southern coast.
Cyprus has become known among other things by the legend of Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty, who, according to history, was born on this island.
How to get?
From Spain and England low cost airlines fly to Cyprus. From different parts of Europe you can fly with Ryanair or EasyJet to Paphos or Larnaca.
*Due to the political situation on the island, it is not possible to fly to the airport of Nicosia (located on the north side) and access from there to the south.

- In Nicosia, capital of Cyprus, only divided capital in the world ("green line"), due to social conflicts, you can visit: the Old City, the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of the Patriarchate, Nicosia tourist district, Laikí Yitonia (an ideal place for shopping). In occupied Nicosia: Cathedral of St. Sophia XIV century, transformed into a mosque.
- In Limassol and its surroundings, with several hotels and resorts, you can enjoy its beaches and entertainment; as well as nearby attractions such as the Castle or the castle of Kolossi and the ancient city of Kourion.
- In Paphos: its beautiful beaches, the ancient city of Nea Paphos (III century), the great Ptolemaic necropolis.
- In Larnaca, where the most important airport of the island is: The promenade, the bars in the old Turkish quarter, the fort built by the Turks in 1625, the local Medieval Museum and St. Lazarus Church.
