Under the auspices of the ReDesign Project and in collaboration with the KIOS Research and Innovation Centre of Excellence and the Language Centre at the University of Cyprus, we are pleased to announce a conference and workshop on Language Learning and Technology that will take place at the University of Cyprus on June 05, 2019. The theme of the conference is “The Implementation of Technology in Second/Foreign Language Learning: Past, Current and Future Ventures.” The purpose of the conference and workshop is to exchange, disseminate and examine new practices in the integration and implementation of technology in Second/Foreign Language Learning. The aim is to bring together teachers, educators, instructors, researchers, and interested educational stakeholders to exchange experiences, practices and research outcomes emerging from the implementation of technology in second/foreign language learning. It will provide an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, practical challenges encountered, and solutions adopted in the field.
The conference welcomes contributions from researchers, second and foreign language instructors, practitioners, and professionals in the field of Computer-Assisted Language Learning and Second/Foreign Language Teaching and Learning. Contributions may examine theoretical frameworks, research, pedagogies and novel practices in the integration and implementation of technology in second and foreign language teaching and learning. Particular emphasis will also be placed on the affordances and contradictions emerging from intercultural telecollaborations. Key thematic strands include but are not limited to:
